DAF BSW (bio-synthetic wood) is a composite of 100% recycled materials, both agricultural and plastic waste. DAF’s bio-composite extrusion combines mixed plastic waste and natural fiber in a proprietary process which enables the production of BSW boards as wide as 4 feet, and as long as 30 feet.
The creation of DAF BSW enables numerous construction applications such as concrete forms, decks, billboard, transportation flooring and pallets, where once only plywood and wood were previously suitable. BSW’s characteristics are similar to wood in strength, with the benefits of plastic in maintenance. DAF BSW will not rot, splinter, crack, it is waterproof and impervious to insect attacks.
